Apple has launched the new generation AirPods that have been specifically designed to offer more talk time. The second generation wireless earphones from the house of Apple will be offered for sale in the Indian market starting at Rs. 14,900.

The new generation Apple AirPods is available with a standard charging case, while a new wireless charging case is also on offer. The tech giant has announced that the new AirPods with its stock charging case has been priced at Rs. 14,900, while when paired with the new wireless charging case it has been tagged at Rs. 18,900. These new generation AirPods will be made available in India by order through any authorized Apple retails later this spring season, said Apple.

The new Apple AirPods has been empowered by the company’s H1 chip, which has been developed especially for headphones. The new earbuds now boast of the new convenience of ‘Hey Siri’, which means that the users can simply say ‘Hey Siri’ to activate Apple’s patent AI assistant without having to touch the device. With the help of this hands-free voice command feature, the users can avail the Siri assistant’s help to make a call, change songs or playlists, get directions or adjust the volume as needed without having to manually operate the earbuds.   While speaking about the new Apple AirPods during its launch announcement in India, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller said that “the world’s best wireless headphones” have just of even better. These new generation AirPods have been endowed with Apple-designed H1 chip that helps to offer improved talk time by an hour. They also offer faster connections and the convenience of hands-free ‘Hey Siri’ feature. The new wireless earphones also come with new a new wireless battery case to make things even better.
