Samsung has quietly announced the launch of its budget Galaxy A01 smartphone. The Korean electronic giant has listed the phone on its website where it has shared key details about phone including specifications and design . However, the company hasn’t revealed details about the phone’s pricing or availability yet.
While the company has kept details about availability under wraps, it has revealed the budget smartphone will be available in Black, Blue and Red colour variants.
As far as technical details about the Galaxy A01 are concerned, Samsung has not shared detailed specifications. The details available on the microsite show that the phone measures 146.3 x 70.86 x 8.34mm and it comes with a 5.7-inch HD plus Infinity-V display with a waterdrop notch in the front that houses a 5MP selfie camera with an aperture of F2.0. It has thin bezels on the sides and thick bezel at the bottom.
It is powered by an unnamed octa core (Quad 1.95 GHz + Quad 1.45 GHz) chipset that is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space which can be expanded further using a microSD of up to 512GB capacity. The company hasn’t revealed the chipset yet.
In terms of the camera, the budget Galaxy A01 smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13 MP primary lens with an aperture of F2.2 and a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of F2.4. On the front, as mentioned before, the phone has a 5MP sensor. The phone features dual-SIM support (nano + nano) and it comes with a 3,000mAh battery.
The launch of the Galaxy A01 follows the launch of Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 in Vietnam last week. At the time of the launch, the company shared pricing and availability of Galaxy A51, however, it kept similar details about Galaxy A71 under wraps. For your information the Samsung Galaxy A51 costs 990,000 VND (Rs 24,300 approx) in Vietnam and it will go on sale in the country on December 27, 2019.
