Oppo has officially listed its new AX5s smartphoe in its official website in Taiwan. The new Oppo AX5s will be soon join the AX5 mid-range smartphone lineup in the Taiwanese mobile market. The Chinese smartphone maker sales its AX5 model as the Oppo A5 in other international markets including India. Hence, it expected that the new AX5s will be soon introduced as the A5s in the global markets.
The new Oppo AX5s is pretty similar to its elder sibling AX5 (or A5). The primary differentiating factor between these two Chinese handsets is the presence of the Helio P35 SoC processor in the new AX5s, which replaces the Snapdragon 450 SoC powering the AX5. Oppo has not yet revealed the pricing of the new device.
Specifications
The new Oppo AX5s smartphoe is now listed on the official Oppo Taiwan website. The new handset flaunts a 6.2 inch HD+ display with 720x1520ppi with a waterdrop style notch. The device runs on Android 8.1 topped with ColorOS 5.2 UI. It packs in an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor and is supported by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage space. The mobile phone gets juiced up by a large 4,230mAh battery.
The smartphone offers a dual camera setup at its rear that comprises of a 13 megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens along with a 2 megapixel secondary camera with an f/2.4 lens. To cater to the selfie clicking needs, the AX5s packs in an 8 megapixel front facing camera with an f/2.2 lens.
Other specs details include the AX5s’ 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB-OTG supported abilities. The new phone will be available in Black and Red colour choices.
The Oppo AX5s is expected to be priced close to the Oppo AX5’s pricing, which is around TWD 5,300 in Taiwan. Oppo has not said a word about the AX5s’ introduction in India, but it is likely to come as the Oppo A5S in country pretty soon.
