A new year is coming and thus all the telecom companies are busy launching new plans to offer something better or different to customers. After Jio that recently announced a new 2020 Happy New Year offer, now BSNL is offering something better to its users. The company has not launched a new plan instead it has tweaked an existing Rs 1,999 prepaid recharge plan to offer data for extra validity.
The BSNL Rs 1,999 prepaid recharge plan that previously came with 365 days of validity has been revamped to offer 425 days of validity now. The company has increased the validity period of the plan by 60 days. BSNL offers unlimited voice calls to any network within India, 3GB data per day and 100 SMSes per day under the plan. The offer goes live today and will be available until January 31, 2020.
According to a Telecom report, BSNL can increase the price of this plan since the company also has a separate plan at RS 1,699 that offers similar benefits. BSNL is also giving access to BSNL Tunes and BSNL TV subscriptions for free under the Rs 1,999 plan but the validity of these subscriptions would not 425 days. These benefits will be valid for 365 days.
BSNL recently also launched a new Mithram Plus plan for its users in Kerala circle. The company offers a whopping 90 days of account validity at Rs 109 in the plan. The Mithram Plus plan is mainly an account validity plan meaning that once you recharge your phone number with this plan you can rest assured that your account won’t be deactivated for the next 90 days from the date of recharge.
