jaguar Land Rover India today launched the XE facelift for an introductory price of Rs 44.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2020 Jaguar XE comes with a host of exterior and interior modifications to take on the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Volvo S60 Cross Country.

The quintessential Jaguar grille in the updated XE is flanked by new LED headlights, which have ‘J’ blade DRLs. There is a subtle tweak in the front bumper. One will find a refurbished bumper at the rear along with LED Hi-Line taillights. The car comes with 17-inch alloy wheels.

As always, Jaguar Land Rover India has provided several luxury features in the cabin. The automobile manufacturer claims that the updated XE comes with superior quality material, premium veneers and new door trims. The 2020 Jaguar XE gets the all-electric I-Pace’s steering wheel. There is a new 10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Other features include wireless device charging, interactive driver display, air quality sensor, park assist, lane keep assist and driver condition monitor.

The Jaguar XE facelift is powered by Ingenium motors. There is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 250 hp and 365 Nm of torque. Another option is the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel mill churning out 179 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The powertrains are offered with 8-speed automatic transmission. There is a new SportShift selector, derived from Jaguar F-Type, on the refurbished centre console for quicker manual gear changes.
