WhatsApp, the biggest and most popular messaging app, is developing an audio message playback speed feature that has been discovered in beta on iOS.

WhatsApp, the world’s greatest social media app, is developing an audio message playback speed feature that has been discovered in beta on iOS. An audio message is simply a spoken message, but it is a file that can be shared.
A beta tracker for WhatsApp claims that this functionality is presently being developed and may be accessible for Android users as well. In addition to adding new capabilities, WhatsApp’s development team is also working to improve elements that have previously been deployed, such as the speed at which voice notes may be played back.

Adding a playback function for audio messages to the Meta-owned (previously Facebook) messaging platform may have been spurred by the popularity of the ability to play voice notes at varying playback rates.

As WABetaInfo reported, WhatsApp is now developing a new version of the feature that is compatible with audio messages, after the release of the functionality in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.9.10 and WhatsApp Messenger beta for iOS 2.20.11.

An explanation of how the replaying speed button works for relayed voice notes was posted on WABetaInfo’s website.

A recent WhatsApp beta for iOS seems to include the functionality, but it is still under development and will undoubtedly appear in future WhatsApp beta versions for Android as well. End-to-end encrypted conversation copies for iOS and Android subscribers worldwide have also been introduced by the Facebook-owned firm.

According to a recent rumor, the much-anticipated upgrade would only allow users to access their chat history if they opt to back it up using end-to-end encrypting and no one else can unlock the backup.
