Indian railways are cheaper and one of the commonly used means of transport for long-distance travel. However, it can also be unpredictable sometimes. For example – you might have your parents on board and that particular train hasn’t arrived at its scheduled time or you have a meeting to attend right after you deboard but you don’t know if your train is on time or not. There are similar instances when you need quick access to a train’s live running status right on your smartphone.
While there are tons of apps like ixigo, RailYatri and Where is my train, Google almost three years ago added an update to its Google Map app which makes it the quickest way to check any train’s running status. This feature is available on both Android and iOS.
