Assam Public Service Commission or APSC Recruitment 2022 notification has been released on the official website. The total number of vacancies for which the recruitment process would be conducted is 50. More detailed information can be found on apsc.nic.in

The recruitment notification has been released for the post of Forest Ranger in Assam Forest Service that is under Environment and Forest Department, Assam. In order to apply for the posts, candidates should be at least 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on January 1, 2021. Candidates are advised to go through the notification released by APSC before applying for the posts. Important dates and other details can be found here.

APSC Recruitment 2022: Steps to apply 

  1. Go to the official website-apsc.ni.in. 
  2. Candidates would now find a notification that says, ” Forest Ranger in the Assam Forest Service under Environment & Forests Deptt., Assam.”
  3. Candidates should now click on the Apply Online option. 
  4. Candidates should note that they have to register with details such as Name, Date of Birth, Email Id, Mobile Number, Address, State, and other details. 
  5. Following this, candidates have to fill the application form with the necessary details. 
  6. While filling the application form, candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 250. 
  7. For SC, ST, OBC candidates, the application fee is Rs 150. 
  8. Candidates should keep a copy of the application form for future reference. 

Candidates should note that the selection process would consist of a written examination. The written examination would consist of 600 marks and it would have questions from English, General Knowledge, and Optional Subject I and II.

It would be followed by a walking test where male candidates have to cover a distance of 25 kms and the female candidates have to cover a distance of 16 km. It would be followed by an interview that would be of 75 marks. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for more details.
